Strikers! The Vale Rawlings story
More than a century ago, everyone in Burton-on-Trent knew the name Vale Rawlings. In July 1914, his story knocked news of the impending world war off the main pages of Britain’s newspapers. A crowd of 7,000 people packed shoulder to shoulder into Burton market place to hear him speak. Today, he’s virtually forgotten in his home town. Come and hear his story brought to life by people from the local community. All profits will go to two local charities: Burton YMCA and SARAC.
Standard ticket: £11.
Pay-it-forward ticket: £15 – if you can afford to pay this it will raise more money for Burton YMCA and SARAC.
